CrossArm

Paste an ABB RAPID program and CrossArm converts it into a FANUC program. The conversion runs entirely in your browser: nothing is sent to a server.

The result will show up here.

  • The generated programs are an evaluation copy (CrossArm is licensed under BUSL-1.1): each one starts with a comment saying so.
  • Here a single module is converted. The full app takes a whole RobotWare backup plus the target FANUC robot backup, and fits all the numbering.

The app

The Windows app: pick the ABB backup, optionally the target FANUC robot backup, and convert.

The conversion report: what was converted, area by area, and everything left to review.

Brand new, and moving fast

CrossArm came out at the end of September 2026 and I keep improving it. Each version converts more RAPID instructions, and each one is first measured on the ABB and FANUC controllers before CrossArm writes it.

Releases

  1. v1.2.0September 29, 2026latest

Interrupts and their TRAP routines as FANUC condition monitors, records, tools and work objects passed to routines, and the points palletizing programs compute as they run.

More RAPID converted: TEST, pulses, clocks, analog outputs, payloads, and arrays indexed at run time.

  3. v1.0.0September 28, 2026

First public release. Every difference between the two brands measured on an ABB IRB 6700 in RobotStudio and three FANUC robots in ROBOGUIDE.
